Year 9/10 Lightning Carnival
The annual Lightning Carnival in Karratha was another successful carnival organised by our fabulous HPE department.
We took three teams across the access road to battle our regional competitors in Mixed Touch, Mixed Volleyball and Boys Basketball. Our Touch team was victorious again in bringing home the trophy against a fiercely competitive team from Hedland. Our Basketball team started out well with a few wins, but the heat took its toll. The volleyball team worked really well and had some fun with their matches, however unfortunately only managed to win one game. We stayed at the Dampier Camp school and had some pranking fun between the boys and girls dorms… The bus trip home was interesting where we got to see some lightning for the lightning carnival and then had to clean off all the mud when we returned!
We look forward to seeing these teams playing together again for Country Week 2021 and taking more, keen 9’s and 10’s back to Karratha to challenge ourselves and keep our Lightning Carnival touch trophy!
